Skin--BIOFILM --> HYDROGEL/WORM-LIKE structures
Biofilm--> hydrogel/worm-like structure
It **looks** (to me) as if many of the translucent/white, rounded structures emerge from the substance that looks (again, to me) like a biofilm. If nothing else, the biofilm certainly appears to cover many of these--and the other--structures.
seem to form from/emerge out of biofilm-like substance
