The following document has a chart that outlines many of the recent theories regarding Morgellons. This document has links to google folders with all the literature I consulted. I compiled it in June 2021, when I was most concerned with simply figuring out if my condition was contagious.
I've since come to find a number of other professional and lay researchers who have alternative theories, many of which help explain all the non-filament structures (which the below literature tends to fixate on). I've found
Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt's work with a (rather unconventional) research center in Germany (timeloopsolution, led by Harald Kautz Vella) to be the most helpful, but it requires a significant amount of background knowledge or else it will be easily dismissed as "nonsense." I'll try to add this ASAP. I'll also add the many natural/holistic protocols I've come across.
